Why is my data pack draining like anything?

Whenever I switch on the internet on my moto g3, using Mobile data, the data pack just drains like anything. The same data pack used to last for 3 weeks, which is now not even lasting for a complete week. I heard the same complaint from one of my friends using moto g first generation, after 5.1.1 update. Is it because of the update or is there any other reason for this data drain?

Hello, welcome to the forums!

Check in settings - data usage which apps are using most of your data. It could be that some apps are syncing, uploading or updating in the background while on mobile data.

The usual suspects could be Play Store, Photos or any cloud storage you have.
