Android Central Question

So I am a friend of a person who owns a onn tablet model 100003561. The tablet was a gift and she let someone "try" to jailbreak it but might have added a virus instead. I would have warned her of the dangers otherwise going against actions but I digress. Taking it upon myself to investigate I notice it boots then automatically pull a prompt after finishing the setup and says factory resetting. After pulling up recovery mode and manually resetting the device this still occurs. Further investigating to mount/system and I found a suspicious text. "Mnt/system: unable to mount file not recognized " somewhere along the lines. Any suggestions appreciated. Thank you.

The "suspicious text" means the file expected for the device to boot is not recognised. You will need to find the exact firmware for the device and flash it

And good luck with that. Onn is a Wal-Mart store brand, with quality on par with the no name Chinese knock offs you find dirt cheap on Wish. I doubt the firmware is available. Even if this one could be repaired I would strongly recommend abandoning it for something name brand. I know it was a gift, and the giver likely had good intentions, but that brand it's just not dependable.
