Android Central Question

Why is my FM radio always goes off when screen off-SAMSUNG S8+

You mean audio from radio is turned off when the screen is off? Have you made sure the app you're using for that isn't set not to run while in standby, or you don't have any battery optimizers that might be 'killing' the app when the phone goes to sleep? Also, if this happens on WiFi, check that your network isn't set to sleep when the phone does.

Since the S8+ doesn't have an FM radio, you must be using an app that gets the station's internet feed. Most media apps stop playing when another app comes to the foreground, some stop as soon as they're not the foreground app (like hitting Home when the app is running). If you want it to play after you hit Home, try using NextRadio Free Live FM Radio. It will still stop if there's another app in front of it, but if you just go home, it keeps playing.

Snapdragon variants do have it (carrier might disable it though). Doesn't come with an app, but the functionality is there.

I noticed that later. The post still applies, though - it's up to the app that's playing it whether it shuts down if it's not the foreground app, whether there's another foreground app (other than the launcher) or it keeps playing until you mute it. The radio hardware doesn't monitor which apps are running, but the app playing the radio usually does. (And Next Radio will use the hardware radio if there is hardware in the phone, otherwise it reverts to an internet radio app.)
