Why is my FoxFi still working after nougat update (S7edge)?????

Recently I gave up my grandfathered unlimited (probably a mistake) for verizon's new unlimited...FoxFi worked fine until I updated, then got the notice: "your carrier will not allow Wifi on Android 7.0 or later...
But when I turned on my mobile hotspot in my phone settings...Not Foxfi... My wifi connection appeared on my laptop...under FoxFi!
Foxfi still works!!

This isn't foxfi working. Your phone is setup to name your hotspot foxfi, but the new unlimited comes with tethering included. There is a cap before throttle, but I can't remember the magic number.
