Why is my Galaxy Note 4 speaker giving me problems when I receive calls?

Galaxy Note 4 In call problem . Please Help

Hello ! I bought my Samsung Note 4 in December , no problems since yesterday while speaking with my father , he told me that he can't hear me , all he can hear is a sound like the sound you hear when you are standing near a speaker with your phone . When i move the call to SPEAKER the sound dissapears , it's super clear like it should be , when i move it back to NORMAL CALL the sound comes back as soon as i push the button . ( sorry for my bad english , it's not my first language )

Welcome to Android Central! It sounds like a problem with the phone mic. Make sure there isn't any debris (like lint) stuck in the microphone. If it looks clean, the microphone might be faulty. You'd have to bring it back to the store, or contact Samsung.

I tried to clean the mics , very gentily , now you can hear something but the sound is very low now . You need to speak very loud so you can hear something . Both microphones look clean inside . The problem is I don't have a warranty because of some issues with the store and i don't want to take it to a service .

If there is some debris or residue packed into the microphone opening, it might be hard to clean out on your own without risking damage to the mic. You could bring it to a local repair shop and ask them how much they would charge to clean the area out. I can't imagine that it would cost much.

It's not about how much would it cost , but i'm scared they will damage the device or replacing parts . I usually do not trust the repair shops because they don't give you any warranty . Plus i just moved out from my country and i don't speak the language very good , so it will be hard to explain what it's relly happening with it .

The best I can suggest is to use a brush with fine rigid bristles and spend some more time gently cleaning out the microphone openings. You might be able to get more stuff out.

I had issue with no sound with my Note 4 including internal and external speaker and the mic. Factory reset didn't help. It was in a case so i know it wasnt dirt or debris. What did help was turning off the phone removing the battery SD card and Sim card. Put it all back together and it worked like new. Not sure why it worked but I read in one of the blogs...hope that helps.

If its under warranty they should replace it.

My mom had the internal speaker mess up on her note 3, doing pretty much the same thing.

If you are by chance using the hd calling, tuen it off and see if that fixes it
