Why is my Galaxy S6 unable to load anything when using wi-fi?

I am connected to my home wifi network or the Xfinity hotspot, but when I open an app (youtube, facebook, google, etc.) it just sits on the loading screen and both networks have full bars. But nothing loads. I have never had any problems on other wifi hotspots/home networks. I can use it at my sister's, Grandma's, and brother's houses and any hotspot at restaurants, cafes, fast-food joints, hotels, and motels that offer/have wi-fi. But for some reason, it does not work at home. My husband's phone connects and works just fine and he has an android as well, along with any other devices that he has connected to our home network. He's had his modem since before I moved in. Since I never had problems connecting to anybody else' network/hotspot, why will it not work at home? Tried forgetting/reconnecting to the network several times. Tried shutting my phone down and starting it back up several times. Please help. I cannot keep using my data as I only get about 3 gigs a month.
