Why is my Galaxy S7 telling me that my patter is wrong?

My galaxy s7 is telling me that my pattern is wrong

My couple week old Galaxy s7 keeps telling me that the pattern that I have had for a month, is suddenly wrong, I have no idea what to do, I'm scared to turn it off and on because then I can't use my fingerprint to open it, help??

Hi Have you found a solution to your problem? I am facing the same problem, my galaxy S7 suddenly does not recognize my almost 3 months used pattern! it is frustrating

Try resetting the password using Android Device Manager.
