THIS IS THE FIX.!!! From samsung. Under gear settings. Turn of auto wifi connection. Reconnect your gear through your phones bluetooth. Done. Battery will be back to normal.

I have a solution. I tired and it worked . Now my battery life is longer .. go to gear app on your phone, go to notifications and uncheck ( show only while wearing gear ) . Doing this will turn off the sensor underneath the gear and your battery life will be normal . Good luck.

This is only one aspect of battery usage on the gear. Using your theory you should turn off everything. One of the parts of the new update has your gear trying to connect to saved wifi networks on your phone eliminating the need to be connected to your phone. Turn this off and it will only stay connected to your phone via bluetooth. Much easier on the resources than wifi.

This worked for me. I was losing battery after 4 hours, and today it went all day. It is 27%, and its almost 9:00. Thanks.

Fixed mine as well, turned off wifi and deleted some watch faces, CNN and SHealth. Sucks though that you cant use all the features of the watch and a reasonable amount of apps and get a day out of it.

Nothing works for me. Mine is 2.5 years old (I think). I thought it was a battery issue....but I can't find a battery for mine. Apparently they don't make them anymore. but it was SUDDEN. From a whole day to 5 hours overnight. And at first not all the time. I changed to the Google message app. I wondered about that, but now I can't find the message app that the gear app always wanted me to set as default (Maybe I uninstalled it?).
