Why is my GS5 taking so long to turning on?

problems with my GS5 turning on

I press the power button on my Gs5 to make my screen turn off and put it away. When I take it out to use it again, when I press either the power button or the home button it will take 3-5 seconds to turn the screen on. But after that first time usually the screen will turn on right away when I try again. Does anyone no why it takes that long for the screen to turn on?

I have the same problem as one of the user here. When I turn the screen off to put away then when I turn it on again to see a msg fr instance the screen remains black for long and it takes lot of time to show me the lock screen itself.

I cleared cache etc and tried adjusting brightness also but nothing works.

Please guide me if someone knows how to fix this. Thanks

The problem is i dont know the issue. No idea if there is any program causing problem or anything else.

Safe Mode can at least help you narrow things down to something you installed vs something with the system or with preinstalled apps. Safe Mode disables apps you installed, so if the problem goes away in Safe Mode, you know it's something you installed.

Hi i tried safemode just now. Everything seems okay. And how would i know if there is any program causing problem?

Ok, good! That points to some app you installed that's causing the problem. But the next step can be tedious -- you need to reboot normally (which will boot back into normal mode), and then start uninstalling apps one by one until the problem goes away.
