Why is my headset still on without anything being plugged in?

My headset is still on without anything being pluged in

today I plugged-in headset to my ZTE android and it turned automatically into headset mode however from now on even if I plug it out android still believe that headset is plugged in which means I cant use my phone without using headset...
well there is work around to switch on loud speaker during call... but it doesn't make me happy....

Try to reboot. If that doesn't work force close your music app in settings. Then, clear cache. If nothing else works factory reset.

OK, I had the same thing happen so what I did was put the headphone Jack back in an pulled it out with a tiny bit of pressure pulling it to the side as I pulled out the Jack, the headset symbol went away and then powered phone off for 1 minute. When I powered my phone back up I held the volume up button and the power button at the same time, ther was an on screen reboot option so I tapped the power button and the phone rebooted and the sound worked again. Hope this works for you.
