Why is my HTC 820G plus not able to go into recovery mode

Why is my HTC 820G plus not able to go into recovery mode? I aplied a twrp image update a few days back to try ans upgrade from the current KITKAT and since then the phone cant do "factory reset" or "Recovery" mode. When i select these options it shutsdown normally and just mantains a blackscreen as if i turned it off and nothing happened happenstance
