Why is my HTC M8 battery draining so fast?

htc m8 battery draining fast

I bought my M8 two days back and I've been using it in power saver mode from the beginning itself still I feel Ile the batter is draining really fast...
I even downloaded some battery saver apps but still no good..
I checked everything from location services to brightness but still the battery is just down
in one hour roughly 20% of the battery is down ...
I checked a lot of videos and questions too but no Help..
any help would be appreciated

I am new to Android and I, too, purchased the m8 recently. I had the same question as you, but my battery drain is not like yours. I have had my phone off of the charge for three hours and I am down to 92% and have only sent a few text messages. What can I do to help my battery last longer?
