Why is my huawei gt watch Bluetooth off

[Android Central Question]

I just got a huawei gt watch classic a few days ago. Apparently it's feature is that the Bluetooth never switches off and it can't be switched off or on even at the settings. I tried switching it off and restarting it to no avail. This is a problem because I can't pair it to my device and reseting it means loosing my data. Please is there any solution to this?

Had a similar issue with the Watch GT Sport which is basically the same watch. Even though the watch wasn't paired with the phone, the Huawei Health app thought they were paired. Had to tap on device from Huawei Health and unpair/ pair several times for it to work.
