Why is my internal storage total space is reduced?

Hi all

I have a Huawei y6 ii which has 16gb of internal Storage. When I check the space available It has always been shown like for example 7gb/16gb, but it has changed and now it says 7gb/10gb. I have not installed anything new. It just happened... Why could that be?

Welcome to Android Central! 16 GB is the total Internal Storage on the phone, but the OS and any bloatware will always take up some of that space (usually anywhere from 4-6 GB). So the 7 GB out of 10 GB available space is not unusual. Did the phone get a recent system update? There may just have been a tweak as to how that storage menu is displayed.
