Why is my LG G5 phone from Metro microphone can't hear me set up ok google

Ever since I got my LG G5 phone will not let me register with OK Google on my phone the assistant works if I'm using it on home screen when I try to set it up it will not hear me say OK Google but everything else hears my voice but not that so I can't use OK Google foot search on my phone a lot which makes it hard for me because I'm disabled & typing with my hands is hard
how do I fix it on my LG G5 Metro Mobile phone

Google Assistant typically uses the secondary mic at the top of the phone to listen for OK Google, which is also used for speakerphone and stereo audio recording on videos. If you record a video and then watch it with headphones, do you only hear sound from one channel? Can people hear you if you call them on speakerphone? If not, then the secondary mic is either blocked (e.g., clogged by lint or blocked by a poorly fitting case) or faulty.
