Why is my Moto X randomly deleting contacts and messages?

Moto x randomly deleting contacts and messages

Hello, I have the moto x phone and it recently did something very strange. My mother, who I had been talking to on the messaging app, was deleted from my phone. Her contact and messages completely vanished. I noticed that it happen a few days after I edited her contact info. I have no idea how this happened! Any ideas?

Idk why it happened buut I noticed the same thing today on my motox. Lost my husband's contact and all messages from him which included locked messages and pvictures

I figured out that if you have any other phones in your Google account someone else can delete your contacts. My son was logged into my Google on his phone and didn't realize when he deleted numbers I was losing them as well

I have the same issue of the lost numbers, but what i did before i bought this phone is i got another backup APP and when this phone acts up i just do a restore off the backup APP, unfortunately MOTO is not the only brand that has this problem
