Why is my native camera flash not working?

I've rebooted my phone many times but still doesn't fix the problem. Any idea why?

After 5-1/2 years? The LED (which is what the flash is) could have gone bad.

Welcome to Android Central! Does it work in Safe Mode? https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-27712. If not, then I agree with Rukbat, it's probably broken.
