Nexus 7 is so slow and stutters.

Takes forever to respond to my touch. When loading Candy Crush , the screen times out before loading. It really seems to lag on everything. I do not want to lose all my info, but is there a soft reset?

Yep. Can confirm that. After I've updated the OS from 4.4.4 to 5.0.1 it's a pile of rubbish. Just another expensive doorstop/paperweight.
I`m looking for a way to downgrade it back to 4.4.2 or 4.4.4..... Can someone help?
Preferably a guide that's written in common English because i`m not that good with all the special terms and abbreviations.

Go to the Play Store and get Nexus Root Toolkit. It is very easy to use if you take your time and follow the instructions. I am not particularly sophisticated with anything more than simple solutions and it was easy to use. Just go slow and think about what you are going to do next and you will be fine in rolling back to 4.4.4

Re: Nexus 7 is so slow and stutters.

Thank you very much for that fast answer! Will do it once I get home.
I've got just one other question - how can I backup all my settings and accounts that have been saved in the tablet before using the Root kit?

Go to settings>backup and restore make sure you have both boxes checked.

This will not save your photos. Back them up to Google Drive or better Google Photos app.

I need to make a big apology to everyone here. I said that you get Nexus Root Toolkit from the Play Store. That is INCORRECT. You download it to a desktop or lap top (just do a Google search for it) and connect you Nexus 7 via USB to the computer. I am sorry if I mislead anyone.

I rolled back to 4.4.4 and my Nexus 7 now runs like new and I can assure you if I can do it anyone can

I actually looked it up last night and couldn`t find it (in the app store).
