Battery draining too fast

I have bought my Note 3 around 5 days ago and noticed its battery timing is quite low .

It fully charges in 5 hours and battery burns out within 12 to 13 hours .

My charger is 1amperes .

I have only few apps installed , and that are Skype , Whatsapp , Viber and facebook ..

If i use 3g battery burns more faster .

Even without using it battery decreases .

I slept on 1am with 90% battery and in morning 11am battery was 40% . (No wifi , no 3g) Just idle set and 50% battery gone in 10 hours .

Any help plz .

Re: Battery draining too fast

Large standby battery drain most likely due to rogue apps or processes. I would suggest turning off background sync, and data connections when not in use.

Could you screenshot your battery usage and maybe myself or someone else could help to solve your issue?

DId you buy it new or used? If you got it used make sure you wiped it properly including the cache partition.
3g in low signal will use more battery then say high signal, or wifi or LTE.
I agree with the comments above, sounds like a rogue app or wakelock issue. Basically your phone is not going into a deep sleep and its causing the CPU to run at a higher speed when it shouldnt, thus draining battery faster.

Re: Battery draining too fast

I am unable to add screen shoot because of low postcount

Re: Battery draining too fast

If all else fails transfer anything important to your pc and factory reset the phone if you don't want to get into anything technical. Is it definitely a genuine note 3 as i'm sure Note 3s ship with 1.5A chargers

Re: Battery draining too fast

Hello. I was in a similar position with my note 3. After reading serious threads I tried a couple of things and now I'm getting better battery than ever. For example yesterday I took the phone off charge at 6 in the morning, when I put it on charge last night at midnight I still had 40% charge. I class myself as a moderate to heavy user and I had a Samsung gear connected all day. Here is how I managed it.

Firstly I forced stopped the google play services app. ( once I'd done this the launcher had stopped and I had no icons only the background on the home screen)
So then I turned the phone off.
Left it for 30 seconds and turned it back on. The device then booted up in downloaded mode so once again I turned it off and back on.
Once the phone came back on I monitored it for a few days. The battery was better but not great.
I then found an option in the developer menu that shows the “ process stats“. This showed me apps that where running in the background. The top few apps where ones that either I hardy use, didn't use at all or ones that only needed to be refreshed once opened.
I proceeded to either uninstall, or adjust the app settings so they weren't refreshing in the background.
This will probably work for other phones too.
I'm not saying its a permanent fix but if I need to do this once every few weeks its worth it for the results Im getting.

I hope this helps you too.
