Android Central Question

Ive had my phone, an lgstylo4, for about 6 months and it has worked great. But recently, whenever i plug my headphones into the phone, the volume will randomly increase/decrease, it will change youtube videos and music at random, and the google search bar will oftenly pop up, suggesting that i train my google assistant. I have tried restarting the phone and that did nothing. It has gotten to the point where i cant even have my headphones plugged in for 10 seconds without it going berzerk. I have an ordinary pair of apple headphones with 3 poles. The headphones do not have a play button or mic attached and i have used them for years with no issue. When i plug the same pair of headphones into something else they work perfect and i have even tried using a different pair of headphones on my phone and the same thing happens. I honestly have no clue what to do.

Welcome to Android Central! Also, make sure the headphone plug is fully seated in the jack. With headphones that are designed for iPhones, the slightest misalignment can cause problems.
