Why is my phone asking for os update even if its up to date

[Android Central Question]

I wanted to play a game through facebook. my freind sent me a request and i clicked on it. it said that i was supposed to update my OS. i went to Setings>info about phone>Software updates>and update software it said evrything is up-to-date.Then i tryed it again and it said it again

Welcome to Android Central! What was telling you that you needed to update the OS? Was it the Facebook game request?

Which phone do you have, and what Android version is it running? What Facebook game are you trying to play?
