Android Central Question

I've tried both the SanDisk Cruzer Glide 3.0 [256GB] and Cruzer Blade [16GB], connected to the phone with a USB to USB-C adapter that has worked previously with my LG G6 (with a SanDisk Ultra [128GB]

The phone clearly recognizes that a USB device has been connected, since it gives me the notification:

Power supply
Tap to change USB options

But when I select it and chose "file transfer", it will disappear, and then revert back to Power Supply, with a prompt to be able to select a new feature again.

Are you sure the adapter is an OTG adapter, not just an adapter from Type A to Type C? The phone isn't a USB host, it's a USB device. The OTG adapter changes it into a host.

Hey I'm the OP, now with an account.

I'm sure that it is an OTG adapter, since like I mentioned, I have been able to use that particular adapter to access flash drive files from my phone in the past, and play .MP4 files stored on the flash drive with the phone, which was what I was attempting to do when I encountered this issue
