why is my phone not vibrating?

First of all before 15-20 days my phone's vibration stopped working. I tried a lot to retain it back. I rebooted the phone then i did factory reset but none of this worked. Please suggest me something. The model number is a120. What should i do now?

Welcome to Android Central! Does it ever vibrate? Try Vibrate Tester to see if it works at all. If it doesn't, then the vibration motor is probably broken. Remember, it's one of only two moving parts in the phone (the other being the autofocus mechanism in the camera module), so it's more prone to failure. Contact Micromax, if the phone is still under warranty.

No. Its not working. My warranty has got over probably 4 months ago. What do you think how much will it cost?

If it was motor brokerage problem then why it had started vibrating again suddenly for while and then again stopped? If really motor was broken then in between why it started working?

You didn't mention that previously--or did it just start working again? If it did start vibrating again, but in a random manner, then it may have more to do with the circuitry that controls the motor. That would still require a trip to the repair shop.

Ya i didn't mention it earlier. But is it possible that even after the motor has broken the vibration worked in between for a while? Or is it some other issue?

I suppose the motor might be intermittently working if it's faulty or defective. But it's just hard to say unless someone opens it up.
