Why is my phone saying "ok" to me out of nowhere?

I was not touching buttons or using "ok google" of any sort. I simply told my kids it's time for nap and my phone all of a sudden replies saying "ok" as I just held it in my hand ready to take them to bed. I'm super creeped out. What is going on here?

Willing to wager you have Google assistant from any screen on. It probably heard something close to your wake up phrase.
