Why is my phone shutting down instead of sleeping?

shutting down instead of sleeping?

The last few days (since last update?) my tablet has been shutting down instead of just going to sleep. This is very annoying. Is anyone else having this problem, or does anyone know how to fix it? I already cleared the cache as suggested by one forum. Help!

Welcome to Android Central! Definitely shouldn't be doing that. Are you letting it sleep on its own, and then it's shutting down? Or are you pressing the Power button to sleep it, and that's when it shuts down?

It was when I would leave it for a few minutes. I would come back, and it would be off, instead of snoozing. For whatever reason, it is working now. Hmmmm......
