Re: phone is speaking every letter i text including go!

Welcome to Android Central! Go to Settings>Accessibility, and see if anything is turned on there. Also, go to Settings>Language & Input, tap the settings icon next to your keyboard, and review the options there. See if the swipe function has been turned off, or if any kind of voice feedback has been turned on.

Scotchwhiskey...YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER! This has been literally driving me completely insane and on the verge of ruining my life. Not to mention it is completely impossible to find a competent Verizon employee to talk to anymore. THANK YOU!

Welcome to AC!
Glad this helped you 👍

I've done this & it doesn't make my keyboard shut up!
Are there more places to turn it off?

Welcome to Android Central! You're responding to a fairly old thread. Which device and which keyboard app are you using? When you say you've "done this," do you mean the solution that Scotchwhiskey described above?

Re: phone is speaking every letter i text including go!

Are you using the Samsung keyboard? If so...
-go to the phone's settings then
-select "General Management: Language & Keyboard," then
-select "Keyboard list and default" then
- "Samsung keyboard" then
- scroll down to "swipe, touch and feedback" then
- turn off "speak keyboard input aloud".

You could also try using a different keyboard to see if it gets rid of the speaking input.

Try holding down both volume buttons for like 5 seconds

Or you can go to your settings and at the top in the search bar search the word talk. Then look for talkback
