My S4 is going crazy after updating 5.0.1

My S4 deleted my whtsapp and contacts and i cant use playstore and a lot of samsung essentials after updating to 5.0.1?any help plz

Try clearing the cache in recovery and see if those issues are fixed. Otherwise, you might need to factory reset. Be sure to backup your data and sync accounts before you do that.

Are any of your contacts backed up? If they are, you should be fine there, and srkmagnus' suggestion of a reset is a good idea. The OS framework probably needs to be rebuilt for those other apps to function.
