Why is my S4 showing a slow charge, use a rapid charger?

S4 showing slow charging, use rapid charger.

I am using the original charger that came with the phone. This comes out recently, that I should use original charger. Anybody has this issues after the new software update.

Welcome to AC.

That message sometimes appears when there is a fault somewhere in the charging circuit. Try a new USB lead.

The cable is probably quite worn after regular use. Try it on another device, if it's the same problem, then replace the charger with a new one.
