Why is my S6 screen cycling on and off while connected to the charger?

S6 Screen is cycling on and off while connected to the charger

When I have the phone connected to the charger, the display screen is cycling on and off every 10 -15 seconds. Any ideas on how to get it to stop doing this and just remain with screen off?

That is strange.
Are you using the charger that the device came with?
If yes, try another charging cable.
