Why is my S9 calendar app in Spanish?

[Android Central Question]

Last week I got a S9 (from Sprint) and for some reason all the birthdays, holidays, etc. are in Spanish. (on the calendar app that comes standard with the phone) My language setting is correct as "English" and in the app I couldn't find anywhere to make a "language" edit.

Well if your phone language is correct I would do two things, or one thing depending on your setup. I would go to my calendar, I'm assuming Gmail calendar, through a browser. One on your phone or on another device and see if the language was switched there. Using a browser eliminates the phone as the source of the issue, plus if it is displaying everything else in English and your preference is correct it's likely not the phone anyway. This leaves the source, and while you don't think that you've changed any thing some times accidents happen.
