Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos Freezes for 10-15 Seconds

I've recently upgraded my GT-I9082 to Jelly Bean 4.2.2 but after upgrading my phone often freezes for 10-15 seconds, sometimes apps crushes, the screen turns off sometimes and it gets extremely hot. I tried rolling back to 4.1.2 but the problem stays. Tried wiping the cache partition nothing happens the only thing seems to work but for only some time is clearing the gallery data. Totally not getting it. is it a problem with the firmware or my phone ?

Welcome to Android Central! Was this an official update, or did you have to sideload it? Was the cache wipe successful, or did it seem like it didn't actually execute? Do you have an SD card inserted? If so, unmount it (in Settings>Storage), remove it, and reboot. If the card got corrupted during the update, it might be causing issues.
