Why is my Samsung galaxy j7v only showing the lightning bolt for charging but not charging at all?

[Android Central Question]

So, I've had the j7v for a while now and I just recently had to start toying with the chargers to get them to work, I figured out a couple of tricks to get it to work but now even those don't and it only shows the charging lightning bolt that it usually does and won't switch to a charging percentage. I've tried different cords, wall outlets, etc and even removed the battery to see if it just needed to cool down but with no luck.

Not yet an thank you! I feel like it might be the charging port? Im planning to go to verizon tomorrow and find out what can be done or if i need a new one

If you try a different battery and the problem persists, then yes, it certainly could be a problem with the charging port. Check to make sure it's clear of any debris first -- if it's clear and still not working, then consider getting the port replaced.
