This just happened to me today. My phone has added a RANDOM audio clip to my phone without me doing anything on the phone. I've did some google searching, and the only results that turn up are "Spotify adding random songs" but I don't think Spotify has anything to do with what happened to me. I mostly listen to rap songs on Spotify, and this audio track sounds more like a guitar cover of some song I don't know. So there wasn't any forum thread about this issue so I'm creating one right now.

Has anyone ever dealt with this issue before? I'm genuinely concerned about my phone right now. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to Android Central! I moved this from the Nougat forum to the S6 forum, since this doesn't appear to be a general Nougat issue.,

What directory are these sound files being added to? It could be cached files related to some app you installed, and the developer forgot to add a ".nomedia" file to that directory. Media files in a directory without a ".nomedia" file in it will automatically be added to the appropriate database (i.e., gallery, music, etc.).

yes this has happened tip me using power amp seems I installed some games and power amp added some short audio clips from the game automatically to my play list.
maybe you had something similar happen.

Go into spotify settings and make sure you have selected external media/directories to the off position
