Why is my screen turning purple?

Earlier today I picked up my Samsung Galaxy S6 screen has slowly been turning purplr since, I have no clue as to why thi has happened as it is very likley that soon the screen will be completely black

Your Display suffered damage and is now failing. The purple is common on Samsung phones with a damaged Display
