Why is my sons android tablet showing “no app found to open url”?

[Android Central Question]

My son has just a small basic android tablet, I recently had to do a factory reset on it and since then we can no longer search for anything as when we click on the link it comes up with a message saying “no app found to open url”.
I have already, umpteen, times tried to go into apps, clicked the 3 dots and clicked on reset app preferences, but to no avail... it does not have “chrome” settings either... it is now driving us both mad!!! Please can anyone help????

Is Chrome installed? How about Android System Webview? Is there a browser installed at all?
