Why is my storage not working properly?

I recently had a message on my Moto g4 explaining i had insufficient storage space, when i went to free up the data it said that 3.2 GB was taken up by images, yet when i look i only have 3 photos on my phone and theyre each about 20mb or thereabouts... Has anyone encountered this issue before? Can anyone tell me how to find a way to free up the space?

Welcome to Android Central! It might be your thumbnails, which can take up a fair amount of space sometimes. Using your file manager, go to the /DCIM/.thumbnails directory, and see how much space it takes up. You can delete all of the thumbnails and the thumbnails database, but be aware the phone will still create new thumbnails as they're needed (like when you access the Gallery or Google Photos app, or any time an app shows images in thumbnail forum).

You should get it repaired from Motorola service center. They will resolve your problem. Or you can ask from iFix.
