Verizon galaxy note 4 AVRCP issues (controlling music of phone on stereo via bluetooth)

So I just paired my Verizon note 4 to my Kenwood KDC-BT752HD, and it plays the music fine. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to want to send the song data or allow me to control the music player through the stereo like it should and like it did with my just replaced Galaxy S3. Any suggestions or settings on the phone I am missing? The Kenwood is on the original firmware it came with, should I upgrade that? Since it worked on the S3 you'd think that wouldn't be necessary. Per Samsung's specifications website, the phone does have AVRCP support. Having to control the playlist through the phone is bothersome and dangerous while driving!

Verizon model: SM-N910V
Baseband version: N910VVRU1ANI1

I posted in the other thread about this. same issue. my other samsung devices pair fine. I also use a kenwood unit.
It also does not work for my Sony home theatre receiver via bluetooth. I get sound (skips a bit) but no info. and no fast forward/rewind.
I will post back if i can figure out which verizon service or bloatware is breaking our version of the phone

I'm having the same issues...everything i want in a phone, minus this. and this is huge for me :\ Not a deal breaker, but I really want this to work.

Have you discovered any additional information on why this doesn't work? I have an ATT device, so I don't think it's carrier related.

yep, same issue on SPRINT. I THINK it has something to do with the new generation of Bluetooth on this device, and the fact that the software versions on the car receivers need to be updated to work better with it.

hmm i hope not. my z2 worked perfectly, though that was v4.0, and the note 4 has v4.1 (just realized that). i really hope some kind of software fix on the phone can resolve this issue.
