Why is my volume turning off on S4 when headphones plugged in

Volume turns off while running or exercising with headphones plugged in. Have had phone for about year. Never happened prior.

Have you changed or upgraded your music player app? Mine for example does it sometimes, since it set the volume to the volume I had the last time I used headphones
