Why is " safe mode" super imposed over my Call button?

The Call button on my Lg G2 Mini has a super imposed Safe Mode shadow on it,I don't know how it got there but I can't see any way to get it off.
I want to get rid of it,so the I can use VIP Connect right off the dial pad.

It means that Android loaded, but without any of your installed apps running. Restart the phone and it should go away. (Safe mode is supposed to last until the next restart.)
