Why is the Citibank app showing incompatible with my Huawei P20?

Why is the Citibank app showing incompatible with my Huawei P20? I am running into a lot of apps lately that when I try to download them via the Google Play store where I get this message. Some are financial ones such as this one, and others can be as innoculous as the U-Haul app which I wanted to use to pick up a moving truck with after hours.

Is there anyway around this or am I just doomed to fewer applications?

Those are the ones that support using their cards in the Google Pay app. Support for the device in Google PLAY is another story.

It's possible that the banks are not allowing their apps to be installed on Huawei devices. The Play Store site is acting up on me so I can't see if that app would be allowed to be installed on my Nexus 6P (though it may actually be there already but I can't check as I don't have it with me).

Ok gotcha might be the issue then
