Why is the Mate 20 so poor at casting?

I cast you tube videos to my TV on regular basis. I used to have Mate 9 and this worked fairly seemlessly, until I got this Mate 20 pro. Now the connection is very laggy, I select a new track which takes a good 30 seconds before it appears on my TV. Also noticed it takes over a minute before other casts after in my TV.

Is the with chromcast ? Hows your wifi ? Maybe reboot the router.

How long does it take your TV to respond to your android casting and how can I speed this up?

Since upgrading my Huawei phone, my you tube casting to my TV is very very laggy. I cast you tube tunes to my TV daily and my old phone was seamless connection, adding new songs was virtually instantaneous, maybe I was spoiled, since upgrading to my new phone it takes over a minute before my TV responds to my phone making it pretty useless for playing music. My questions are not specific to Huawei but to Android casting. How long does it take your TV to respond to your android casting and how can I speed this up?

You're using Chromecast, I assume? Does the TV have Chromecast built-in, or do you have a Chromecast device plugged into it?
