Why is the Note 7 in such huge demand?

I've been trying to wonder why the demand is so high for it. I have not seen a lot of media hype or advertising for it like you do for the Iphones. I know this is one of the best devices ever for Android maybe rivaling the Note 4, but I'm trying to figure out why it's selling so hot despite not a ton of advertising for it.

I'm wondering if many of them are Note 4 users wanting to upgrade due to the removable SD card on it and larger battery than the Note 4 with many maybe skipping the Note 5 due to no IR blaster and no external memory.

True. I bring up the Note 4 because I see a lot of those, but Note 5s, not so much. How well did the Note 5 sell compared to the 4? At least in my area I see few people with Note 5s.

I agree 100%. I've been using iPhone 6s plus for the last five six months sold it went back to note 5 and ordered the n7. The n7 looks so far beyond the iPhone in every category besides battery life.

I'd guess because the note 5 was a relative flop, and the s7 and s7 edge are highly regarded.

Well someone who works for Tmobile store only got 4 in for the 19th and in some countries the release has been delayed as well. Unless Samsung didn't produce a ton of them because the Note 5 was a flop.

Honestly I don't know what makes you think it's in such high demand. And what exactly is high relative to? Don't go by these forums or tech websites because that's the normal order of business for top devices from Samsung and Apple at this point.

samsung UK pre order sold out
2-3 week wait at CPW in UK

this is the thing

for those here in the UK we didn't even get the note 5 here so many here including my dad is still on the note 4 so it's an easy thing to upgrade.

Samsung preorder is sold out til at least the middle of September. So yes it's in high demand.

Probably because:


1. The phone's design overall looks and feels great, so it has a great "in person" appeal to potential buyers
2. It has the best , brightest screen for a phone on the planet (according to DisplayMate)
3. Marketing, Marketing, Marketing ( you can't go 5 minutes watching the Olympics without seeing a Note 7 commercial. My kids were even asking me about it)
4. It's a great phone, and as of today it's getting outstanding reviews

1, 2 and 3 play a surprisingly large role for buyers

There is a huge shortage blue is on back order and the other two colors are close to being back ordered. Plus samsung has stated that this was a record pre-order largest in their history.

There's shortages in several countries, and that happened fairly quickly. I was amazed.

Because it's awesome! Samsung listened to it's consumers, giving them what they wanted with the note. IP rating, better stylus, and upgradable memory.
