why is the sound on my phone not working?

I connected my Samsung phone to speakers and once I unplugged it the volume wasn't working anymore I can still hear what is playing but it is very low how can I fix this?

The internal switch may have a bit of fluff under it. Try plugging/un plugging something into the socket a few times. If that doesn't help you, you may have damaged your audio amplifier in the device if the speaker and device had an impedance mismatch. You may have to get it tested by a tech..
