Why is the System process using so much RAM

Hello
I'm using a Sony Xperia Z5 Compact, 2 GB RAM.

I wanted to know if it is normal that out of the 2 GB RAM the System is using on its own by default already quite a considerable amount, something around 870 MB.

Is it something normal?
Is it something I should investigate further an maybe stop "unnecessary" system process?
Do I need to optimize the use of it (e.g. the Google Play Service uses 142 MB!)?

Thank for helping
Gianluca

Re: Why is the System process using so much RAM

It's normal. Here is a screenshot of mine after a fresh boot. I do have a lot of the Sony stuff disabled and I deleted a ton as well.

After a while mine gets up to the same 870GB used however.
