Android Central Question

I'm using a Macbook Pro 2015 model and a Xiaomi Redmi Note 8. I recorded a video on my Macbook and I want to send it to my phone.
The video had some extra bits so I trimmed it to the length I wanted and then saved that new file. Somehow, when I send this file to my phone, some of the cropped parts are still there on either side and as a result, the audio is out of sync by a second or so.

I've tried to use various file transfer methods such as Facebook messenger, Wechat, Android File Transfer and Google drive, the result is the same. I've also deleted all the past videos off my phone and Macbook so the only thing that remains is the new cropped one, but somehow the phone still remembers the past video. Please help.

When you share the video through Drive and you open that in a computer, what do you see? I don't think this is a phone issue (if the video was recorded on the MacBook, the phone had nothing to do with the original material) but more on how whatever software you're using to edit the video and how the final video is being exported/saved.

Did you try not editing the file, and "sending" it to your phone by USB cable? (The program you use to edit the video may be causing some problems that don't show up on the Mac. The method you use to transfer the file may compress it - copying it by connecting the phone directly to the Mac won't.)
