AC Question

This is the dumbest thing I've heard. Only way is to put it on no interruptions. It works, but there's more steps to get into. Much easier & more convenient if you could just do it from the drag down menu where you can change from sound to vibrate.
Who makes this stuff up?? smh

PS I never had this issue with Samsung.

This is a Google thing, complain to Google if you aren't happy. However you can install third party widgets like power widgets that can give you this option.

I know someone who hated when, on Samsung, they silenced alarms in silent mode with a recent update.

Every version of Android seems to have it's weird crappy quirks.

My Verizon v10 has a silent mode. I either hold the volume button until it goes one step past vibrate, or I do that from the swipe down menu or I do it from the second screen.... Unless I'm misunderstanding.

Mine doesn't have a silent mode. Just vibrate or sounds. Then the interruptions option. Mine doesn't toggle past vibrate.

Interesting. My T-Mobile V10 doesn't have that

x2... I just scroll the volume rocker all the way down. The Verison version has some other differences too that aren't outwardly apparent, the ability to block incoming calls from specific numbers for example.

Version version does this from the status pull down screen...

I have used the Silent Mode App/Widget on my last 3 phones. Works great and is right on the home screen. Touch it once and it goes to vibrate. Touch again and it is silent, touch a 3rd time and back on sound, etc.

How do you do it from the second screen? App shortcut?
Also, say if the phone is locked with a passcode/pattern etc. is there a way to put it in Vibrate or Silent mode without unlocking it first?

My T-mobile V10 has a setting for All Interruptions, Priority Only, or No Interruptions. It cycles through them with a touch of the button. Just pull down the notifications screen; it's one of the shortcuts at the top.

But Shush! is way better, because it turns stuff back on automatically after the specified period of time. No more forgetting.
