Why isn't my Huawei Ascend P7 video function button working?

Huawei Ascend P7 video function not working

Hello,
I wanted to make a video on my Huawei Ascend p7 , but then i discoverd it wasn't working.
When i go to camera and switch to video mode it does show the small red dot but i doesn't work when i press the button.
Hope someone knows how to fix it.

Welcome to Android Central! What happens when you press the button--does anything register at all, or is it just that nothing happens? How much free storage do you have on the device? If you don't have much, it's possible the videocamera won't let you take a video if there's no room to save it.

When i press the button it does like i press it (it moves, you know).
I have enough free storage, also have an SD-card (mabay somthing wrong with that?)
Sorry but i cound't dicribe the first part verry well

What red dot are you referring to?

Wel i found the problem but don't know how to solve it.
I wanted to install an app but it coudn't, so i googled and found out it had somehing to do whit my camer *** well.
The problem is whit my SD-Card.
Now my quastion is: how to reformat it whitout losing my stuff on it?

Maybe you could elaborate on that. I'm not quite sure how that's affecting your camera.
