Why isn't my internet working on my Nexus 7 yet the WiFi works fine?

Internet won't work on Nexus 7 yet WiFi works fine

I can't get the internet to work on my Nexus 7 yet my WiFi works fine and on my Nexus 7 in the settings, it says it's connected. What is wrong here? I have had this tablet for a few years and it works fine otherwise.
