Why isn't my lockscreen appearing?

Lockscreen does not appear

Hi,
I have a huge issue atm and I cant find any solution.

When I press the power button the screen turns black like usual. But the problem is that no lockscreen appears when I press it again. The Phone unlocks instantly.

On top of it is the funny fact that if i change the pin or change from pin to passwort the screen appears until i press home or open an app.

Has anyone a solution for this problem?

Some infos:
Version : 4.4.2
Model : Samsung Note 3
Rooted? : yes (I just rooted it to solve the issue but it didn't worked)

Try turning on and off your lock screen and try changing different types of lock screen. Might help

In your lock screen settings, do you have the box checked "lock instantly with power key"? If you don't it will not lock until the time set under your "lock automatically" passes.

It is checked, furthermore if the screen expiered the phone also didnt locks.
I noticed that my Sim card is also instant unlocked but it isnt registered to the net. I have to restart the phone without flight mode to enter the sim-pin and my passwort/pin.

Have you cleared the cache partition and have you checked if it works in safe mode? Do you remember anything that changed right before this started? A new app, change in settings, OS update?

Good idea!!!
It locks in the safe mode. Any Idea how I csn identify the trouble causing app?

Ps.: I found the problem. The app "lockermaster" suppressed the lockscreen. I thought turned the app off but it seems it was buggy. Thx for the help <3

Well, that can be difficult if you have a lot of apps. I'm not sure how long ago this started on your phone. If it was very recent, you can go into the My Apps in the Play Store and look at anything under the Recently Updated section in case it was an update to an existing app that was the problem. And try to think about any new apps you installed around the time this started. Otherwise you may just need to go down your list of apps and uninstall until you find it. You may have to do a reboot after uninstalling as well.

Another thought is to look at what is in your running apps list and see if anything there could be the problem. It's not necessary for the app to be running to cause the problem though, but just another troubleshooting idea.
