I have some serious issues with charging in my nexus 5

I have been using Lollipop from past 3 months i guess, i don't think my problem was due to the update.. I will explain my problem please help me to find the solution..

Problem: from past 10 days suddenly my phone is taking 10 hours to complete charge in the worst case the battery was draining even it was in charging.. even in the past it showed 7hrs to complete charge but this was only once in a while..

Now the funny thing is when i am charging with my proper nexus 5 charger i had this problem but it was fine if i am charging with my laptop..

in brief : while charging suddenly it stops charging and starts draining after some time again starts charging..

Is it problem in OS??
Should i change Battery??
or
Should i change charger??

Welcome to Android Central! When you say it charges fine with your laptop, does it still charge somewhat slowly? The current that the laptop's USB port provides still won't be as high as a wall outlet, so it should still take a few hours to charge up using the USB port, as opposed to the 1-2 hours it might take on a wall outlet.

Your wall charger plug might be what's faulty. Try a different one.
